A Pleasant Whirlwind

The thought has crossed my mind a few times that nine years ago, my book was an idea. But by paying attention to that idea, the future was unfolding in the present. My book finally came to fruition. I spent years working on it and made tough choices to stay focused on my calling. The launch event at the Hart House was amazing! Thank you to Mahara Mindfulness and Bloomable for providing products and tools and Meridian for sponsoring the event. I’m grateful to Barlow Books for their support to get to the finish line. I appreciate my family and friends coming out to the event!

After the Whirlwind

For years, my focus was getting The Path to Conscious Leadership out. Now that it’s here, I’m moving through a cusp. I feel a transition from the phase of creating the book to a new one that’s starting. I’m heading into the next part of my journey to grow awareness of Conscious Leadership.

Taking time to pause and reflect is an important practice to nurture yourself and to let learning transpire.

If we rush from one period of our life to the next, we can miss out on key insights that are fundamental to support the next steps of the path. So, I’ve taken moments to think about what I’ve learned and appreciate all I did to get here.

This reflection takes the form of closure that creates personal growth and prepares us for what’s next. We also make room for new experiences and opportunities.

I’m envisioning where I’m going and how I will get there. I discuss this practice in the chapter: Feel the Future. It’s critical to set intentions and not only goals! When we feel the essence of the future we wish to create, we can take action better. We see it, feel it, so we do it.
